Microscience Training Workshops in Gabon (2016)

Gabon (April 2016)

A Training of Trainers workshop on Microscience was organized in Oyem (Gabon), as a follow-up to the 2013 workshop. The programme was developed jointly by UNESCO Headquarters and UNESCO Field Office in Gabon; it included hands-on training sessions facilitated by UNESCO experts, as well as special sessions on science didactics. Thirty participants were divided into two groups, one group composed of physics and chemistry teachers and another group composed of life and earth teachers. The two groups attended the three-day event by participating either in parallel activities in physics or biology, or in joint activities in chemistry. The Microscience kits were provided by UNESCO Headquarters.
