Vato Urushadze

Vato (Vakhtang) Urushadze is a curator and arts manager from Tbilisi, Georgia. Alongside teaching arts management at the Fine Art Academy of Tbilisi, he is currently a research coordinator at Creative Georgia where he initiated the EU/UNESCO project “Creating Supportive Mechanisms for Creative Cluster Ecosystems in Georgia”. Since 2015, he has been involved in cultural policy research. From 2013 to 2015, he served as director of the Center of Contemporary Art in Tbilisi, participating in numerous international and local cultural projects. Vato has a background in business administration and worked as a financial analyst for a Bloomberg project at Tata Consultancy Services. He was also a GL reconciliation specialist at Citibank (2010-2012). He holds a master’s degree in Media Arts Culture from Danube University Krems, and a BBA degree from Tbilisi State University.
