Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID)

The Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) is the central organisation that manages Spanish Cooperation, dedicated to the fight against poverty and to sustainable human development. The AECID is attached to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.

The Agency frames its goals within its main priorities: fostering development and equilibrium in international relationships, preventing and responding to emergencies, promoting democracy and creating relationships with partner countries. To achieve this, it works with the following tools: technical cooperation, economic and financial cooperation, humanitarian aid and development and social awareness education.

Project

Supporting the Reform of the Tunisian National Television and Radio into Public Service Media

Financed by the Kingdom of Spain, this project assisted the democratic transition in Tunisia through support to the reform of Tunisian national radio and television into public service media, independence, ethical practices and gender equality.
