The copy of the manuscript of Mahammad Fuzuli’s “divan”

Documentary heritage submitted by Azerbaijan and recommended for inclusion in the Memory of the World Register in 2017.

The manuscript copy of the divan – collection of poems written in native (Turkish) language by great Azerbaijani poet Mahammad Fuzuli and is preserved at the Institute of Manuscripts of ANAS under code M-236. The notes on it give information that the copying of this manuscript was completed in 1572. The divan includes the poems written in different genres of Oriental poetry – 295 ghazals, 41 qitas, 2 musaddases, 5 mukhammases, 3 murabbehs and 75 rubais.
