Meeting of the 70 Portuguese UNESCO associated schools with representatives of National Commissions and Schools from Angola and Cape Vert

The Portuguese National Commission for UNESCO organized the 14th Meeting of the 70 Portuguese UNESCO associated schools, from 18 to 19 April, at the Secondary School D. Duarte, in Coimbra, Portugal.

Representatives from National Commissions for UNESCO and UNESCO associated schools from Portuguese-speaking African countries as Angola and Cape Verde also participated at the meeting.

This meeting had as main objectives to stimulate partnership projects, share experiences, best practices, and ideas for future projects, within the framework of themes such as cultural diversity, citizenship, solidarity and international cooperation.

As inspirational motes, the celebration of the 70th anniversary of UNESCO, the International Decade for the Rapprochement of Cultures (2013-22) where highlighted, as well as the 50 years of the International Day of Monuments and Sites - ICOMOS, with a cultural visit to the Monastery of Santa Clara a Velha, in Coimbra.
