Swedish National Commission for UNESCO: “An afternoon about UNESCO in Sweden and Sweden in UNESCO”

6th of Mach the Swedish National Commission for UNESCO arranged a seminar on UNESCO in Sweden and Sweden in UNESCO. The purpose was to gather all actors who collaborate with the Commission and with UNESCO and those who are interested in the works of UNESCO. The plan is that this seminar will become a yearly gathering. Focus for this year’s seminar was the Swedish over-all strategy for all Swedish cooperation with UNESCO for 2014 – 2017 recently adopted by the Government, and to inform about Sweden as a member of the UNESCO Executive Board 2013-2017.

 

Ms Inger Davidson, Chairman of the Swedish National Commission for UNESCO, Ms Amelie von Zweigbergk, Swedish representative on the UNESCO Executive Board, Mr Mats Djurberg, Secretary General of the National Commission for UNESCO and Ms Therese Sjömander Magnusson, from Stockholm International Water Institute took the floor at the event.

 

Approximately 80 participants attended the event.
