Overview

The side event on cultural and biological diversity in Biosphere Reserves has two parts. The first deals with the UNESCO - Convention on Biological Diversity Joint Programme on Biocultural diversity and how Biosphere Reserves can contribute to it. The second details some on-ground activities in Iranian Biosphere Reserves. Participants were asked to comment on, and then issue, "the Lima Challenge" on biocultural diversity in Biosphere Reserves.
