WPFD 2010: UNESCO New York

World Press Freedom Day: Freedom Of Information: The Right to Know (3 May 2010, Delegates Dining Rooms 1-3)

UNESCO´s Office in New York is organizing a luncheon for UN Correspondents, Delegations, UN Communications Specialists and select VIPs. 

A panel of speakers will address the audience, and a Q&A session will follow. The scheduled speakers are: Christine Alfsen, Director, a.i. of the UNESCO Office in New York and Representative to the United Nations; Masood Haider, Vice-President of the UN Correspondents Association (Dawn, Pakistan); Sheila Coronel, Director of the Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism at Columbia University; Mr. Mujahid Kakar, News Editor of Tolo and Lamar TVs, Afghanistan; Mr. Garry Pierre-Pierre, editor of the Haitian Times, New York; and Suzanne Bilello, Senior Public Information and Liaison Officer, UNESCO Office in New York.
