L’Oréal Brasil, UNESCO and ABC calls for apllications for the 14th edition of the award For Women in Science

Programme, which has awarded 90 young scientists in Brazil, will receive applications until 30 April, 2019.

In the International Women’s Day, applications were open for the 14th edition of the award L’Orèal-UNESCO-ABC For Women in Science. Since 2006, the award given by L´Oréal, in partnership with UNESCO in Brazil and the Brazilian Science Academy (ABC, in the Portuguese acronym), has the goal of promoting and recognizing the participation of women in Science, favoring the gender balance in the Brazilian scenario. Every year. Seven young women scientists in the fields of Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences and Mathematics are granted a scholarship of 50 thousand reais (R$) each to continue their studies.
