The Microscience Experiment is a hands-on science education project that gives primary, secondary and tertiary students the opportunity to conduct practical work in physics, chemistry and biology, using small kits that come with pedagogical materials.

Gabon September 2013

UNESCO organized a Microscience demonstration workshop and an exhibition on water to celebrate the International Year of Water Cooperation in Libreville, Gabon.

Nigeria June 2013

UNESCO in collaboration with the international Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka organized a series conference, training and demonstration workshops in  Nigeria.

Niger January 2013

A workshop on the Global Microscience Experiments was organized in Niamey on January 2013 in partnership with ISESCO, the National Commission of Niger and the “Guri Vie Meilleure” Foundation.

World Teachers' Day 2012

Sixteen students from a French secondary schools demonstrated the UNESCO Global Microscience Experiments Project on World Teacher’s Day at UNESCO headquarters on 5 October 2012.

Ivory Coast September 2012

UNESCO participated in the celebration of the re-opening of the University Academic Year in Cote-d'Ivoire. Teachers and students were trained to use Microscience kits. 

Mali October 2011

The Global Experiment “Water: A Chemical Solution” was presented in Bamako (Mali) during a training workshop on science education from 11 to13 October 2011. 

World Teachers' Day 2011

During the World Teachers' Day celebration at UNESCO headquarters on 5 October 2011 students performed the Global Microscience and Water experiments  using Microscience kits. These activities were organized and conducted by Ms Amelle Korichi.

World Science' Day 2011

A Demonstration of the Microscience Kits and Global Experiment took place during the World Science Day for Peace and Development on 10 November 2011 at UNESCO headquarters Paris.
