Worlddidac Association meets UNESCO Regional Office for Eastern Africa Team

Worlddidac Association and UNESCO Regional Office for Eastern Africa meet for possible partnership and collaboration.

On 2 February 2022, Worlddidac Association Director-General, Mr. Danny Gauch and the Organization’s Ambassador for Education in Africa, Dr. Peter Monari Joseph met with UNESCO Regional Office for Eastern Africa team led by Prof. Hubert Gijzen, the Regional Director for an introductory meeting on partnership with the education technology industry members of Worlddidac Association.

The Worlddidac Association is the only global, non-profit association of education solution providers, which believes in knowledge being the key to finding the right solution for challenges/problems. The association engages in setting up communication exchange platforms (Hybrid-events, Webinars, etc.) where educators and experts can come together and exchange views and ideas on emerging issues and those on hand.

The meeting that took place in a hybrid format discussed possible areas of collaboration and partnership to support initiatives, projects, and strategic plans across countries in the Eastern Africa Region: Comoros, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Rwanda, Seychelles, Somalia, South Sudan, Uganda, and United Republic of Tanzania.

As a member of the Global Education Coalition (GEC), Worlddidac Association is an education solution provider that believes in knowledge being the key to finding the right solution for challenges/problems. They also go further in strengthening their relationship with partners in their network to ensure continuity of backstopping after end of project.

The thematic areas of interest discussed which could be developed into flagship projects/initiatives were:

  1. ICT in Education and Renewable Energy with a Systems Approach
  2. Gender Equality and Green TVET
  3. Lifelong learning and Tertiary and Higher Education
  4. Research and Innovation/ESD/STEAM.
