Context/Overview

The project aims to design a new law on the Status of the Artist and to enforce the protection of copyright, neighbouring rights and digital rights through consultations and inventory of the situation. Technical assistance is requested to provide technical advice for initiating consultative processes and political dialogues, updating the regulatory texts relating to the protection of artists and cultural professionals and their works (copyrights, neighbouring rights, digital rights), designing the 'Status of the Artist' document and then making all these documents available to the legislator. The request for technical assistance also includes the strengthening of the capacities of the National Society of Authors' Rights, Performers and Composers (SACS).
