Amplification request: International Day of UN Peacekeepers, 29 May

Dear UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, Artists for Peace and Champions,

Since 1948, more than a million peacekeepers, from all walks of life, have left their families behind to travel to some of the most remote and dangerous places in the world to protect millions of vulnerable people affected by conflict.

Peacekeeping is just one of the many tools used by the United Nations to help secure global peace & security. It is a collective enterprise. Standing alone, we can never succeed. But, together with partners, we are stronger and changing lives for the better.

Leading up to 29 May, the International Day of UN Peacekeepers, we need your help to amplify the voices and stories of peacekeepers, partners and the communities we serve. Please share our campaign, People Peace Progress: The Power of Partnerships with your fans and followers.

We need peace, and a mere absence of conflict is not peace. UN Peacekeeping works with partners to create lasting political solutions and conditions that can support sustainable development.

Today, as conflicts are more complex and crises are protracted, #PeoplePeaceProgress brings us the voices of peace, hope, and inspiration.

We need your help to tell their stories and to call for peace, everywhere.
