Reviving worshipping practices of sacred sites in Mongolia

16 June 2022 –  Mongolia,

Research expeditions, with representatives of local organizations and living heritage experts, were conducted to identify the sacred sites worshipped by communities, as part of the International Assistance (IA) project ‘Supporting natural and cultural sustainability through the revitalization and transmission of the traditional practices of worshipping the sacred sites in Mongolia’.This is to support the element ‘Mongolian traditional practices of worshipping the sacred sites’ which was inscribed in 2017 on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding (USL) of the 2003 Convention. ›››
