28 April - Online Launch of NISSEM Global Briefs: Social and Emotional Learning in Context

nissem-volume-iii

On Thursday 28 April, 14:00-15:30pm CEST, UNESCO is hosting a webinar to celebrate the release of the third volume of NISSEM’s Global Brief which looks at Social and Emotional Learning in a variety of global contexts.

A strong commitment to social emotional learning that builds the capabilities of students as ethical thinkers and doers is one of the recommendations of UNESCO’s recently released futures of education report, Reimagining our futures together: A new social contract for education. Understanding the different ways of contextualizing social and emotional learning is a centerpiece of UNESCO’s broader work in this area.

This webinar will include opening remarks from Stefania Giannini, UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education, and Sobhi Tawil, Director of UNESCO’s Futures of Learning and Innovation division. This will be followed by an introduction to the volume from Andy Smart, co-editor and NISSEM co-convenor, a panel discussion. and finally Q&A session.

Registration for this online event is possible at this link.
