Conclusions of the World Water Development Report on groundwater presented in the Republic of Korea
The 2022 World Water Development Report “Groundwater, making the invisible visible”, was presented to water experts during a special session organized by the International Centre for Water Security and Sustainable Management (i-WSSM), a UNESCO category 2 centre based in the Republic of Korea, in May.
The session was held during the 2022 Korea Water Resources Association Convention. This Association, founded in 1967, is the largest water-related society in Korea.
During the session, Jaejin Han, of the i-WSSM Planning and Management Team, presented the conclusions of the Report, which served as a basis for a discussion on the status of groundwater resources in Korea with representatives of Korean water institutions and universities.
