Conclusions of the World Water Development Report on groundwater presented in the Republic of Korea

Jaejin Han of UNESCO i-WSSM presents the WWDR 2022 at 2022 Korea Water Resources Association Convention

The 2022 World Water Development Report “Groundwater, making the invisible visible”, was presented to water experts during a special session organized by the International Centre for Water Security and Sustainable Management (i-WSSM), a UNESCO category 2 centre based in the Republic of Korea, in May.

The session was held during the 2022 Korea Water Resources Association Convention. This Association, founded in 1967, is the largest water-related society in Korea.

During the session, Jaejin Han, of the i-WSSM Planning and Management Team, presented the conclusions of the Report, which served as a basis for a discussion on the status of groundwater resources in Korea with representatives of Korean water institutions and universities.
