The three institutions Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation have set up a consortium for cooperating on issues of sustainable development. With their different core competencies and backgrounds they form a strategic network in order to offer a substantial basis for joint international activities oriented on TVET and Sustainable Development. The vision to establish a global "TVET Academy" for sustainable capacity development in TVET has just been realised under the lead of GIZ. The TVET Academy supports the continuous development of technical, pedagogical, managerial and leadership competences for a labour-market oriented vocational training.
