Issue #9 - March 2022

Dear readers,

We are pleased to announce that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre for TVET in Bonn, Germany. On this occasion, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the donors, partners, UNEVOC Centres and members of the global TVET community who have been instrumental to our development and the achievement of our goals. During the month of April, we invite you to view the special anniversary highlights on our website.

While we reflect on the milestones of the past two decades, we continue to set our sights on the future of TVET. We have recently expanded avenues for collaboration and knowledge exchange through the inaugural UNEVOC Coaction Initiative and the BILT Peer-Learning Wheel. We have also launched the “Building TVET resilience for a just and sustainable transition” project, which is being implemented with the support of the German Federal Government through Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. The year-long project will focus on the adoption of resilient approaches and measures in planning, designing and implementing training in the areas of digital delivery, greening TVET and entrepreneurial learning for the transition to sustainable economies and societies.

The initiatives, programmes and projects featured in this issue of the UNEVOC Quarterly are unified by the common goal of preparing TVET stakeholders for new paradigms in education and training.

Best wishes from the UNESCO-UNEVOC team
