Technical Education and Skills Development Authority

TESDA Women's Center (TWC)

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is the government agency tasked to manage and supervise technical education and skills development (TESD) in the Philippines. It was created by virtue of Republic Act 7796, otherwise known as the “Technical Education and Skills Development Act of 1994”.

TESDA Women’s Center (TWC) is a training institution accredited by TESDA, which offers Technical and Vocational Education and Training Programs (TVET) under TESDA and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

TWC was established in 1998 through a grant-aid from the Government of Japan. As the lead TVET specialized institution of excellence in empowerment of women, TWC advocates and provides programs and services geared towards quality-assured, inclusive and gender-fair TVET.

The UNESCO-UNEVOC Skills for Innovation Hubs is part of the initiative 'Developing TVET institutions for entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainability' implemented by UNESCO since 2017, and is supported by the Beijing Caofeidian International Vocational Education City (BCEC), with contributions from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
