Launch of the third edition of the Global Report Re|Shaping Policies for Creativity

Launch of the third edition of the Global Report Re|Shaping Policies for Creativity

Re-shaping policies for creativityThe third edition of the Global Report Re|Shaping Policies for Creativity will be launched on 8 February 2022 from 2-4pm at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, during the 15th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions.

Re|Shaping Policies for Creativity is a UNESCO flagship publication and the only report of its kind globally. Published every four years, since 2015, this report has become a global authority in the field of cultural policies, providing strategic data and advocacy messaging on key issues for more informed, participatory and transparent governance for cultural and creative sectors.

The Global Report was conceived as a tool to monitor the implementation of the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions since its adoption and facilitate information sharing on the many ways in which the promotion of the diversity of cultural expressions is being pursued across the world. It serves as a benchmarking and monitoring tool, by analyzing current trends, tracking progress and identifying the main advances made, but also the difficulties and challenges faced by Parties and other relevant stakeholders.

The launch of this edition will include opening and introductory speeches, the screening of a 5-minute video presenting the main findings of the report, two 30-minute roundtables with 15-minute question-and-answer sessions at the end.

The event will take place entirely online. Participants at the 15th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions are invited to follow the launch through the Zoom link of the Committee. Other viewers will be able to watch and interact with the event either through livestreams on Facebook and YouTube.

The event will have simultaneous interpretation in English and French.
