International conference on Youth Development Challenges in the Post-COVID-19 Era opens registration and accepts abstracts

WHAT & WHEN

The 22nd International Association for Adolescent Health (IAAH) European Regional Conference will be held in Athens, Greece on October 5th-7th, 2022.

It is locally organized by the Greek/Hellenic Society for Adolescent Medicine (GSAM) with scientific support from EU organizations and UN agencies, including UNESCO.

THEMES

The conference focus is on youth development during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Main themes include developmental health, mental health, school health, digital literacy, chronic diseases and migration.

Schooling, sexuality education and COVID-19, violence and bullying in and around school and against LGBTQI+ youth, and safe digital spaces that help young people make healthier choices and develop healthy relationships, are topics of several conference sessions with UNESCO’s participation.

FOR WHOM

Researches, medical doctors and nurses, educators, psychologists, counsellors, medical students, trainee teachers, youth and social workers and youth media representatives are welcome to participate in the conference to share and learn the most recent data, promising approaches, tools and discuss ways to overcome current challenges to adolescent health, development and well-being. Youth participation during the conference will enrich discussions and debates.

IMPORTANT

The conference official language is English. Both onsite and virtual participation are possible for speakers and participants.
