Youth Participation and Empowerment: UNESCO Asia-Pacific In Graphic Detail #8
Of the 700 million young people are in the Asia-Pacific, about 85 million live in extreme poverty, with many others facing major challenges ranging from limited education and employment to health and marginalization issues. Coinciding with the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, UNESCO Bangkok spotlights the essential role of young people in the region, with the latest in a series of infographics.
