Young musicians exchange project dedicated to Baroque music
When:
Wed, 04/01/2015 to Mon, 06/01/2015
The conservatories of Bologna (Italy) and Seville (Spain) are collaborating in an exchange project dedicated to Baroque music. The initiative is part of AMANT (Academia de Música Antigua), an education program for young musicians organized by the Baroque Orchestra of Seville and by the University of Seville. The program is addressed to talented students enrolled in the last two years of the Music Conservatory “Manuel Castillo” and offers a rich schedule of workshops, conferences and master-classes focused on Baroque music.
In April 2015 three Spanish students attended the master-class “Seminario di canto barocco” of Baroque cantata at the Conservatory G.B. Martini in Bologna, led by Professor Gloria Banditelli. At the end of this exchange week, the Spanish students and their colleagues from the Bologna performed together in the final concert.
In June 2015, three students and two teachers from the Bologna Conservatory returned the visit to take part in the final phase of the local education program AMANT where they attended some master classes together with the young Spanish musicians. On the occasion of the International Music Day celebrations in Seville, on 21st June, they also performed together with the Ensemble Aràva, from Creative City of Music, Hannover (Germany).
