The Urdabai Biosphere Reserve joins the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the MAB Programme with the #SoyBiosfera campaign

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of UNESCO's Man and the Biosphere (MAB) Programme, the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve and UNESCO Etxea have joined forces to create the #SoyBiosfera citizens' movement.

This movement calls on local citizens to present their biodiversity conservation initiatives and explain how their actions contribute to the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve and help meet sustainable development objectives. Above all, citizens are invited to share their experiences and proposals for living in harmony with nature.

The #SoyBiosfera movement was announced in a campaign launch on social media on 29 November 2021 by the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve and UNESCO Etxea. The movement invites citizens to sign up to the #SoyBiosfera movement where they can become part of a growing community and promote their own initiatives.

These initiatives will be promoted on the #SoyBiosfera webpage of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve website and via social media, becoming part of a community of ambassadors for the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve committed to developing actions that respect the environment.
