Kickoff Intergenerational Dialogue on Innovative Learning – Save the date
Kickoff of the Intergenerational Dialogue on Innovative Learning with the UNESCO SDG4 Youth Network on integrated development environment (EDI). In the framework of 2023 International Education Day, the event will serve to launch a series of thematic dialogues, over the next two following months, on youth initiatives in pedagogical innovation. The SDG4 Youth Network aims to include young education activists in shaping global education policies through engagement in the multi-stakeholder SDG 4 Education 2030 High-level Steering Committee while establishing the network as an accountable and representative youth and students platform. To commemorate January 24, Education Day, UNESCO IESALC will present the document Progress towards SDG 4 in higher education: Challenges and policy responses in Latin America and the Caribbean, analyzing the main challenges, trends and public policy mechanisms managed by governments in the region since the beginning of this century. Educational reforms abound around the globe, but limited improvements have been made to actualize educational equity, as reported by the UNESCO in Global Education Monitoring Reports (2021) and more recently in Reimagining Our Futures Together: A New Social Contract for Education (2022).
