Events

First Sub-regional World Heritage Education Training Workshop in Francophone West Africa

19-23 February 2007

This workshop has been organized to introduce teachers and educators to the World Heritage in Young Hands Education Kit, and investigate the possibility of its integration in the curricula of interested countries. The other major component of the workshop is the skills development course initiating the young participants on the basic techniques of preventive and curative conservation.

The event will mobilize young people, teachers, and coordinators of the réSEAU education network, as well as experts in heritage preservation of the following countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo.
