Qingdao organized the Global Film Industry Development Seminar 2020

To support the development path of the global film industry, Qingdao (People’s Republic of China), a UNESCO Creative City of Film since 2017, hosted the 2020 edition of the Global Film Industry Development Seminar.

At this occasion, the Beijing Film Academy Modern Creative Media College, National Film Think Tank of Beijing Film Academy, City of Film (Qingdao Office), the Taylor & Francis Group (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) and Social Sciences Academic Press (China) jointly released the third edition of the report “Global Film Industry Development (2020)".

Available in English and Chinese, the report serves as an important tool for academics, experts, stakeholder concerned, to understand the trends in the global film industry, as well as provides key insights on how the industry is transforming and developing based on the technological developments.

To enrich the discussion and further promote the urban sustainable development through film and audiovisual art, 12 other Creative Cities of Film worldwide, including Bradford and Galway (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland), Busan (Republic of Korea), Łódź (Poland), Mumbai (India), Potsdam (Germany), Rome (Italy), Santos (Brazil), Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Sydney (Australia), Terrassa and Valladolid (Spain), the Chinese National Commission for UNESCO, as well as concerned experts and academics from the sector participated in the event.
