This year, the International Day for Universal Access to Information took place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. It gathered more than 300 guests and 1180 online viewers worldwide around the theme "Artificial Intelligence, e-Governance and Access to Information".
With 8 years remaining to achieve the global goals, the event triggered the urge for joint actions and presented good examples to advance the right to access to information and tackle its side deficits plaguing global governance and public trust.

This documentary film presents a project funded by the International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD) and implemented by the Bactria Cultural Centre in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Thanks to the 85,000 USD made available by the IFCD in 2011-2012, Bactria helped strengthen and diversify the country’s music industry by training young and emerging musicians in production and management and giving them access to new technologies. Various young artists who benefitted from this training and the project managers share their experiences and offer their testimonies. The film highlights how the IFCD’s investment in the Tajik music industry has helped young talents develop and reinforce their professional skills.

This biosphere reserve is located on the northern slope of the Zhetysu Alataun Ridge and incorporates the entire range of mountain ecosystems characteristic of the Tien Shan mountains and Central Asia. The territory is of global importance as the location of the wild apple gene bank. The main economic sectors are agriculture and the industrial production of sunflower oil, flour and mineral water. Lands are mainly used for grazing and hayfields.
