International Conference "Living with World Heritage in Africa"

The international conference will bring together high level decision makers and representatives from the heritage and development sector to discuss the role of World Heritage and sustainable development.
Expected outcomes are of the workshop are:

  • A better articulation of the role of World Heritage in the sustainable development agenda.
  • An evaluation of the critical role World Heritage Sites play in improving community livelihoods in Africa.
  • The development of a framework to address conservation and development needs on the African continent.
