The BIAAF - Bilbao International Art & Fashion Platform – inaugurated on 10 October the seventh edition of its international fashion design competition, which will last until 16 December 2019.

The event aims at discovering promising fashion talents between 18 and 35 years old from all around the world, by identifying innovative ways to bridge fashion and design.

The BIAAF contest has become an international reference for youth entrepreneurship: the 2018 edition received a wide media coverage and was attended by more than 1,700 participants from 90 countries.The 2019 edition targets two categories: clothing design and accessories design. The participants can compete for both categories and the jury will award a prize of € 25,000 to the most creative and sustainable ideas. Through this important contest, the Creative City of Bilbao provides international visibility to emerging designers from around the world; creates job opportunities; promotes trainings and educational projects on responsible fashion and sustainable entrepreneurship.
