From 19 to 21 January, Macao has organized the 2019 International Gastronomy Forum. For three years, the UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy is focusing on the objectives of the Creative Cities Programme and conducting discussions around the potential of gastronomy and the many creative possibilities it generates.
This Forum provides Macao the opportunity to showcase to other partner cities its experience, progress and achievements as a City of Gastronomy. The forum is also building an important platform for exchanges among Creative Cities, opening bridges for collaboration among Creative Cities of Gastronomy worldwide. More specifically, it makes a solid contribution to the development of the Creative Cities Network in China. The 2019 event observed a closer public-private partnership among Macao stakeholders, as well as staging an opportunity for fellow cities to meet Macao residents and visitors for the first time.
