Many teachers who are charged with teaching CSE are not adequately prepared to teach or are uncomfortable discussing sexuality-related topics. CSE is comprised of complex, nuanced topics that require pre-service training and ongoing professional development and capacity-building for teachers and schools. This section provides resources to help ensure that appropriate teachers are selected to teach CSE, and guidance for how to ensure that teachers and teacher candidates receive the ongoing professional development support they need.
