About the UNEVOC Network

The UNEVOC Network is UNESCO’s global network for institutions specialized in technical and vocational education and training (TVET). It provides an environment for exchange, cooperation and mutual assistance for its members — UNEVOC Centres. There are four types of UNEVOC Centres: ministries, national bodies, training providers and research institutions.

Through international collaboration and peer learning, UNEVOC Centres continue to enhance the quality of TVET teaching and learning opportunities offered in their respective countries.

SXPI hosts workshop on incorporating global citizenship into TVET learning environments
The UNEVOC Centre at Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute (SXPI), together with Te Whare Wananga o Awanuiārangi, New Zealand organized a virtual workshop focused on outcomes–based, culturally aware, global citizenship education in TVET. The workshop was supported by the UNESCO Beijing Office, UNESCO-UNEVOC and Education New Zealand.

The UNEVOC Network promotes multilateralism. Besides bilateral partnership with UNESCO-UNEVOC, UNEVOC Centres proactively interact, work and build on each other’s expertise. The UNEVOC Centres increase their institutional capacities and knowledge while supporting the development of TVET in their country, region and the world.
