Describe the main features of the policy/measure: 
Organized in April 2019, the conference was attended by women scientists, educators and specialists working in the field of ICT in state, scientific and educational institutions of Azerbaijan. The Conference highlighted the role of ICTs as technological platform of the information society, playing an important role in ensuring the rights and freedoms of women, as well as an effective means of eliminating all kinds of social inequalities in society. It notably discussed the role of communications in the development of the social status of women in the cultural environment of Azerbaijan, while drawing attention to the fact that the increase in the social status of women in society is directly related to communication opportunities.
What are the results achieved so far through the implementation of the policy/measure?: 
The conference stressed the need to support development of digital tools and platforms necessary for facilitating further the participation of women in cultural life and enlarging the opportunities for them to develop and enhance creativity and innovation. The event also highlighted the role of the Women's Council at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, which allowed revealing and addressing instances of gender inequalities for women working in the scientific environment. Finally, the conference also noted the role of ICT in women's creativity and career choices, as well as called for greater partnerships with business entities to better integrate and benefit from the creativity of women. The results of the conference have triggered discussions at policy level in different government agencies, which may lead to more specific policy interventions.
