The activities will support further awareness-raising, engagement and capacity-building of duty bearers in the Mekong countries such as judicial operators, prosecutors, police officers, police academy trainers, information commissioners, media and civil society networks to support FoE, SoJ and ATI. The workplan is designed as a continuation of activities carried out in 2020-2021, which include the translation of the Guidelines for Prosecutors on Cases of Crimes against Journalists in local languages and the coordination for the national monitoring of SDG 16.10.2. A special focus will be given on enhancing the safety of women journalists in Asia as a continuation of the collaboration with OHCHR and UN Women Regional Offices.
