Natalie Kyriacou has always been driven by the belief that accessible education plays a key role in addressing global issues. In 2012, Natalie founded and her own social enterprise My Green World, with the aim of spearheading fun and accessible environmental education programmes which harness the potential of children to be agents of change.
One of her many innovations is World of the Wild, a mobile app allowing children to imagine themselves in virtual wildlife conservation scenarios and learn how to be environment heroes. Through her virtual classroom Kids’ Corner, complex issues about the environment are broken down into easy, fun and actionable concepts through a range of curriculum-aligned activities.
In recognition of her services to wildlife conservation and environmental education, Natalie was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia and the Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2018. Amongst other achievements, she was also a ‘Young Champion of the Earth’ Regional Finalist for the UNEP.
Highly regarded for her authentic leadership in advancing nature, climate, and social equity outcomes, Natalie will act as a UNESCO Green Citizens Pathfinder, to help identify local environment projects and shine the torch for citizen-led action for the planet. Find her on Instagram here.
