The workplan aims to support the development of policies, mechanisms and other measures to protect cultural property in times of peace and in the event of armed conflict, including through the implementation of the 1954 Hague Convention and its two Protocols. In the framework of the execution of the workplan, organization of four statutory meetings, three capacity building activities benefitting over 1000 military and cultural heritage professionals, as well as implementation of targeted advocacy activities raising the number of States Parties to the 1954 Hague Convention and its two Protocols are foreseen. In addition, the workplan aims to reinforce the capacity of the Secretariat to provide remote/digital support to member states in all aspects of the above-mentioned treaties.
