The COVID-19 pandemic has significant implications across population groups and key sectors, the full extent of which is still not assessed. The imposed restrictions influenced much on the work of local cultural and creative industries, which mostly operating as small and medium-based enterprises. The initiative will be supported and aligned with the KFIT project on "Strengthening Digital Literacy Skills and Competencies and Promoting Gender Equality in Cultural and Creative Sectors in Central Asia". In modern Central Asia, there is a growing interest in Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) and their potential contribution to sustainable development. Also, the initiative will focus on promotion of the 2005 Convention for further ratification by Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
