UNESCO will work on two main axes through this activity; first, UNESCO will support media faculties as well as teachers' training institutions to integrate Media and Information Literacy (MIL) into their curriculum. In addition UNESCO Beirut will continue its support to youth and marginalized groups in rural areas to enhance their skills and build their resilience to combat disinformation, hate speech and violent extremism in those critical times for both Lebanon and Syria. This activity will also support stakeholders to network and exchange experiences through the celebration of the regional MIL week taking place at the end of October.
