The Silk Road Programme aims to identify and promote elements of the shared heritage of the Silk Roads as a basis for encouraging the intercultural dialogue as well as mutual understanding and respect between people of different cultures living along these routes. It also aims to contribute to reinforcing social cohesion in plural and multicultural modern societies in line with objectives of the "Monitoring of Social Transformation" programme. The programme is implemented through: 1. Mobilizing knowledge, raising awareness and advocacy 2. Building partnerships and networks 3. Capacity building among youth
