Strengthening Institutional Capacities in Implementing the Malawi Cultural Policy in line with the UNESCO 2005 Convention on Cultural Diversity in Malawi

This project will provide necessary resources for the Ministry to implement the Cultural Policy adopted in 2018, create awareness about the Policy and strengthen capacities of institutions, organizations, associations, creators and practitioners in its implementation in line with the 2005 Convention on the promotion and protection of the diversity of cultural expressions. In particular, the project will support efforts towards establishing a National Arts Council, development of cultural creative industries, and an online platform for marketing of cultural and creative industries. A clear implementation strategy with a series of activities have been developed.
