This 3-year program, jointly implemented by UNESCO and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, aims to advance contextualized Holocaust and genocide education around the world to strengthen education systems in support of addressing violent pasts and preventing genocide. Buidling on the outcomes of the 2015 and 2017 International Conference on Education and the Holocaust, the present programme will (1) assess the impact of previous projects, (2) develop guidelines for education stakeholders (in both the formal and informal sectors, public and private), and (3) build their capacities to develop local educational initiatives.
