Lifelines to Learning: Towards an International Declaration on Advancing Connectivity for Education

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the right to education has become-at the global level-dependent on connectivity, especially internet access. The pandemic forced policy makers, teachers, parents and learners to attempt actions to leverage connectivity for learning at a speed and scale without precedent. The pandemic has revealed the need to rethink connectivity for learning in a transformed global educational landscape. This initiative will facilitate the production and endorsement of an International Declaration on Connectivity for Education, and will involve research and consultation.
