This workplan takes in all activities of HQ related to the implementation of the 1970 Convention, the 2015 Recommendation and the works of the ICPRCP. UNESCO will assist Member States with guidance for the implementation of the 1970 Convention through advocacy, policy guidance and technical advice, reinforcing institutional, operational and legal capacities, as well as promoting international cooperation, partnerships with museums and synergies with the 2001 Convention. UNESCO will promote the protection and promotion of museums and collections through the implementation of the 2015 Recommendation. With special focus on Africa, SIDS and countries affected by armed conflict or natural disasters, UNESCO ascertains its leadership in preserving moveable cultural property.
