The project will build on the previous grant from the Open Society Foundation (OSF) for research on education financing in the Arab world (SISTER#: 3045), the Project aims to strengthen further the needed SDG 4 progress including data gathering and reporting. Following COVID-19, building resilience and the system capacity is a priority for the Member States. In this respect, building on the findings from the regional analysis, the second grant will focus on improving the effectiveness of education financing by promoting better education sector data (both financial and operational) and encouraging governments to report on equitable education planning and external support.
