Climate change in the Southern African region is causing untold hardship as a result of extreme weather events such as droughts and floods. Medium to long-term water security policies and strategies for resilience building, capacity development and disaster risk preparedness are key to combating this recurrent crisis in Southern Africa. SADC-WIN focuses on addressing the impacts of extreme weather and climate change, through proactive Disaster Risk Reduction and bottom-up climate change adaptation.
