Awareness-raising and capacity building activities, in the framework of the World Heritage Education Programme, shall be implemented to facilitate the greater involvement of young people, including women and indigenous communities to contribute to World Heritage protection, preservation and promotion. The activities shall contribute to UN decades as well as to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and main Strategies and Programs. Actions shall be conducted in a manner that is cost-effective and based on cooperation with civil society, youth and NGOs and in close collaboration and/or coordination with States Parties, Culture Ministries, National Commissions and UNESCO Field Offices.
