Project ID 2210162031

The recent COVID-19 pandemic and other natural and human-induced disasters affected Education systems of countries in Eastern Africa exacerbating existing challenges in teaching and learning and in meeting SDG 4 commitments. Even where technology was deployed to deliver education, teacher capacities were not sufficient to effectively utilize the technologies in teaching, learning and assessment. UNESCO Nairobi will support the review of ICT in Education Policies in countries; digitize curriculum and and materials; strengthen capacity of teachers in the use of digital technology in teaching and learning and in transformative pedagogy.
