Digital technologies fundamentally change the ways individuals produce, share access information and knowledge. Technology offers opportunities for free exp for free expressions, access to intercultural dialogue among of citizens. The rise of digital technologies exacerbated challenges including the rise of misinformation, disinformation, and hate speech. In light of the emerging challenges, Media and Information Literacy serves as a framework and tool for journalists, educators, young people to counter disinformation, misinformation, and hate speech in the region.
