In view of the unfolding unprecedented emergency situation in Ukraine, PAX is providing support to Ukraine to respond to its urgent needs that fall within UNESCO's mandate. In the context of the ongoing conflict, the needs of Ukraine in the areas of access to education, safeguarding of cultural heritage and protection of journalists are enormous. The funds mobilised through this funding mechanism will be directed to address the urgent needs in these vital areas.
